Through our partnership with Vancity, we offer a joint mortgage that allows each person to choose their individual mortgage rate, term, and amortization. If one of you sells your ownership share, your part of the mortgage is transferred to the new co-owner. Your original co-owner will not need to refinance.
The owner-occupant pays half of the monthly mortgage payment plus an occupancy fee to the investor. The amount of the occupancy fee is set such as to create favorable economics for both parties.
